Beginning in
2008, the LSCC monthly membership meetings will be held
in the Boardroom at the Landmark Inn, Marquette on the
first Wednesday of each month. When the cars are
on the road again, the meetings will move for June,
July, and August to the UP North Lodge in Gwinn and will
still be on the first Wednesdy of the month. All
meetings begin at 7:00pm although you are welcome to
come early for dinner. All meetings are open to
the membership. We hope to see you there.

June UP Winery Tour
We are
gearing up for our first long drive of the year (~215
miles for the day). After the first leg and lunch,
Laurie and Ralph Stabile will provide a tour of their
Mackinaw Trail Winery. Our second stop will be at the
Threefold Vine Winery where Andy and Janice Green will
show us their vineyard and tasting room. Join us for a
fun day of touring the Upper Peninsula. Check out both
businesses on line.

May Dinner Run To Hardwood Steakhouse

Fifteen corvettes and thirty club members enjoyed the
May dinner ride to Hardwood Steakhouse in Covington. The
weather cooperated and provided a great ride from west
Ishpeming. The staff did a great job providing us with
tasty appetizers for the social hour along with cold
drinks. The food was great and everyone enjoyed the new
location. Our resident burnout specialist entertained us
on the way across the highway to the local ski hill
where we lined up for a farewell picture with the sun
setting in the west. A perfect end to another successful
LSCC monthly dinner ride.
UP North Lodge the first trip of the

The
weather held, and 8 die hards drove down to the UP North
Lodge for our first event this year. Scavenger King and
Queen (aka Brian and Karen) led the way with their newly
modified Vette. While we only had a few drivers, 36 club
members attended and enjoyed some quality food and
beverages. As usual, there was a lot of discussion about
the America's sportscar, racing, future purchases,
stories of winter survival, and a general renewal of
friendships. We have a great club schedule out in front
of us, so hope you can attend one of the upcoming
events.
